No, you must be profitable, not in bankruptcy and offer a good value for our buyers.

How long does it take to sell a business?
The average is about 7 months, however some businesses simply will not sell, they are either priced too high or the seller cannot defend his asking price. All businesses will sell, if presented properly.

How do I price my business?
No business can be fairly priced until an evaluation is done. Most businesses are priced too low, thus losing thousands of dollars. Presenting the business is the key, along with the terms, financing and good old fashioned salesmanship.

Why can't I do what you are doing?
You can do what we are doing. It would cost you roughly $2000.00 per month to advertise on 50 plus websites. We are also able to pool our buyers, meaning that with over 300 businesses we are able to move many of our buyers to various businesses. We generate over 40 buyers per day, you cannot do that with just one business. You would also need to qualify each of the buyers.

How many buyers will I get?
We have some sellers that receive many responses and others very few. It depends on your asking price, your ability to defend your asking price, location, profitability and type of business. Remember, it only takes one buyer to buy your business. We are a for sale by owner company and therefore, it is very important for you to be mentally prepared for each buyer and use an evaluation of your business.

Do you offer financing or what if the buyers don't have enough money?
Matchmaker Business, Inc. will assist you in arranging financing. Most businesses will have to finance part of the selling price themselves, in other cases SBA loans or bank financing can be arranged. We partner with many private financing sources which has proved successful.

How much is your fee?
We charge a flat fee when your business sells, and only if it is to one our buyers. Our fee is generally about a third of what brokers charge.

What is the difference between you and a broker?
We have you sign a non exclusive agreement and if we provide the buyer you pay us a fee. If you sell your business to someone other than one of our buyers, there is no fee. 
We advertise your business on over 50 For Sale By Owner websites. Brokers use maybe 2 or 3 websites.Matchmaker Business, Inc. reaches over 2 million buyers each month.
We will advertise your business until sold, Brokers use 6 to 12 month contracts.
